Impressed by the recent hit 3 Idiots and the questions it raises about the current education system, Tripada Education Trust has organised a screening of the film for parents. The trust has invited students and their parents to watch the movie at a multiplex on Ashram Road on 17 Jan 2010 morning.
The movie will be shown on three screens simultaneously between 8-11am. A circular asking parents to join in, encouraged them to ‘travel within our child and explore his/her world’. Parents were asked to pay for the move tickets at the school office.
“Around 1,000 people can watch the movie at the three shows,” said Pratiksha Parikh, principal of Tripada School.
“The event is not compulsory, but I advise every parent to take out time to watch the movie whenever they can. The movie at home it may change the way you look at your child and his future. The movie raises some very important issues such as bracketing every child into the doctor/engineer category, the stressful lives they lead and the suicides due to fear of failure,” said Archit Bhatt, managing trustee of Tripada.
