Flat-owners to stay on guard against burglars

Alarmed by AM’s report on poor level of vigilance in residential buildings, which are increasingly being targeted by burglars, flat-owners vow to keep a watch on visitors.

Parth indraprasth in vastrapur to tighten vigil
The chairman of Parth Indraprasth in Vastrapur, Jagdish Trivedi, said that to prevent entry of intruders, occupants of the 10-storey building would be asked to put identical stickers on their vehicles. “The stickers will help guards identify vehicles owned by flat-owners and those belonging to visitors,” Trivedi said. “From now, guards will also maintain a record of all visitors at Parth Indraprasth.”

Not quite here in Ahmedabad, but in Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa.For years, music groups have been making a trip down to East Africa to cater to Gujaratis settled there. This year, they plan to perform in the local lingo, Swahili, for a larger audience.
